Beer Yard, Restaurant and Music & Party Space, Republic of 94 Impresses All

Republic of 94 is one of Braamfontein's newest venues, the first and only beer garden in Johannesburg's favourite inner-city area. It is one of the biggest venues ever opened in Braamfontein, boasting a 20m long bar in a dedicated beer garden out back. It is the brainchild of entrepreneurs Ross Cornish, Henry Cock and Craig Smith, who are also responsible for the recently opened bar and restaurant, The Immigrant. Republic of 94 is conveniently situated next to the largest parkade in Braam, allowing it to connect Braam's youthful residents with the rest of the city who love the area for its richness and its creative pulse.

They host a number of different types of musical and subcultural events, building on the spaces long history pre-Republic of 94 of bars and culture spaces such as Linga Longa and Leipoldts Long bar. They host regular DJ-heavy nights and have hosted The Brother Moves On and many other live music pioneers in the space, according to the team’s belief in giving Joburg’s music scene a platform for connecting with new audiences.

They offer many day-specific specials on their delicious food favourites and thirst-quenching on-tap beers and cocktails, or any other drink you might like.
