Mediterranean Cuisine Adds to the Braam Foodie Scene

One of our favourite things about Braamfontein is that it never remains static. It seems not a month goes by without a new place opening its doors, whether that be a hot new bar or a fresh new store to heat up your style. The expansions, the diversifications, the coming and the going: this is what makes Braam so great.

And now we have another brand new place to bring to you: Metanoia. Opened at 73 Juta Street, Metanoia expands on the choice of cuisine available in Braamfontein, offering a fine selection of Greek and Mediterranean food at very good prices. Choose from a wide selection of tapas, including fried halloumi cheese, Catalan style prawns or Greek keftades (meatballs). They also have a wide variety of handmade flatbreads, signature salads, and specialities that include a burger, chicken schnitzel sandwich, sirloin on zucchini spring onion fritters, and more.

The restaurant is tastefully styled with wood panelling and hanging lightbulbs, the restaurant feels comfortable and intimate, and it already has its liquor license, serving wine, cocktails (from as little as R35!) and a selection of craft beers. This is the perfect place to start a fun night right, but also a great spot to take a date you're trying to impress, and it's open every day of the week! Get there soon, so you can say you were there before it blew up!
